What a blast!!

We just got back on Tuesday the 21st. It went by so fast it's almost like a dream. We had a lot of fun and I didn't want to go home.

The weather was perfect for the most part. It was windy and rainy when we flew into Orlando. In fact, the plane had to circle the airport twice in order to wait for the wind to calm down.

I had heard how big Disneyworld was but I didn't believe it until I saw it. They even have their own highway system!! There are 4 parks, Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom. They also have 2 waterparks. Kim will appreciate the fact that there are a couple golf courses. We stayed at the All Star Sports Resort which had oversized sports equipment. Our building had the football on it but other buildings have basketball, tennis, and baseball. We went on a shuttle bus to get to the parks every day.

Magic Kingdom had the most rides but the other parks had some as well. We had a couple late nights at Magic Kingdom so we could go on rides without having to wait in long lines. I highly recommend doing that if you can.

My feet are still trying to recover from all the walking we did. I think we walked at least 10 miles a day!!

Happy Easter!!

Today was Easter. We had Alton and Kim over for dinner. It was nice to see them and catch up with what's going on with their lives. Robert, Natalee and the kids went to Natalees mothers house so we didn't get to see them.

I made it through to the next round!!

Last night, I received an email stating that I had made it to the next round. If you remember, last week I was a bit down because I had worked out all month long and only had lost 4 lbs. Because I had heard that other people had lost lots more than I did, I didn't think I'd make it through. But I did!! I am one of the top 50. So is Kim, Margel, Kaylynne, Amber, and Tonja!! Good luck to you all!! Next weigh in will be May 2nd. I will keep you posted.

Monsters vs Aliens

Last night, I went to see the movie Monsters vs. Aliens with Margel, Kaylynne, and Kaylynnes son Tyson. It was in 3D. I really liked it. The plot was about a young women named Susan Murphy who gets hit with a meteorite which turns her into a giant monster. She is taken to a secret government compound where she meets a group of monsters also rounded up over the years. As a last resort, under the guidance of General W.R. Monger, on a desperate order from The President, the monsters are called into action to combat the aliens and save the world from imminent destruction! I am amazed with the quality of animation in the movies today. I will definately buy this movie when it comes out on DVD.

Biggest Loser

Yesterday was also my weigh in for the American Fork Biggest Loser. I didn't do as well as I had hoped. I lost 4 lbs which is good but I don't think it will get me through to the next round, which is the top 50. I am so bummed as I worked my tail end off all month, working out 6 days a week and watching what I was eating. I don't know what happened!!

My sister in law, Kim, lost 14 lbs!! Congrats to her!! I think she has a good chance in getting through to the next round so I'm rooting for her.

First 5K of the year

Yesterday was my first 5 K of the year. It was held in Provo yesterday morning. It started about 100 S and University Avenue then went over the bridge over the railroad tracks then toward the parking lot at the Provo Town Centre Mall. Then we went west of the mall and north to Center St. It was a well mapped out route. However, it was snowy and very cold. Now those of you who know me know that it takes a lot for me to get cold as I'm a human heater. The temperature was below freezing. I was ok until the parking lot at the mall. It was extra cold because it was an open space and my legs kinda cramped up on me. After I got through the parking lot, it was much easier. I really liked the route though. The only hill was the bridge. The rest of the course was pretty much flat. I pretty much did it in my normal time which is pretty good considering how cold it was.

I really enjoy the 5Ks and hope to do quite a few of them this year. I like the idea of having a goal that I can see. Running on a track, you don't really see an end but running in a 5K you can.
