Cousins Night Out

Last night, we had a cousins night out. We did something a bit different this time. Usually, we go to a movie but this time we decided to go bowling. All of our cousins are invited but usually only a few come. Margel, Kaylynne, Tonja, Katie, her daughter Ezzeree, Celeste and I were there. I took my mom's bowling ball in hopes I'd bowl better. I'm not a great bowler but always have fun when I go. My first game I bowled 77 and my second game I bowled 94. Usually my first game is my best one but not yesterday. Tonja won the 1st game and Margel won the 2nd game.

This picture of bowling shoes reminded me of the shoes I had yesterday. I've always wondered why they are always so ugly. Maybe, it's to keep people from stealing them!! Who in their right mind would want to steal shoes that have been worn by several different people? The shoes I had yesterday were about the most uncomfortable bowling shoes I've ever worn. By the end of the night, the bottom of my feet were so sore!! They are still a bit sore today.

We went to Applebees for dinner. I was good and chose one of their more healthier meals, steak and mushrooms. It was a dish suggested by Weight Watchers so I thought I'd better try it. It was really good. I've been craving a good steak. It was small but the perfect size to satisfy my craving.

I am so glad that I get along so well with my cousins. So many people that I've talked to hardly know their cousins. It's great to have people to hang out with. We do plan on getting together once a month and doing something together. It's important to keep in touch with each other.

Draper UT Temple Dedication

Today, my dad and I were able to go to the dedication of the Draper temple. We went down to our stake center to see it. It started at 4:30 and ended about 6:00. President Monson and President Uchdorf from the First Presidency, Elder Nelson from the Quorum of the 12 Apostles, and a couple of Seventies were there. It was the first temple dedication that I had seen President Monson do since he's been the president. It was a beautiful service. This temple is now the 129th working temple. There are several temples currently either being planned or are undergoing construction. It's great to see the Lords work coming forth.

WII Fit

Last weekend, I bought a WII Fit. It's quite a cool gadget. I've been playing it everyday since I got it. It will give me my BMI as well as my weight and also give me tips. There are also games that will help with balance which is something I definately need help with!! It also has games that will help me with cardio. I am planning on doing some 5K races this year and I think it will help with that. It's pretty cool.

Biggest Loser Weigh In

Well, yesterday was the 1st weigh in for American Forks Biggest Loser Contest. So, officially, I'm in the contest. The next weigh in will be April 4th after which the contestants will be narrowed down to 50. We asked how many people had signed up for it and we were told that 160 had signed up so we have our work cut out for us. My cousins Margel, Kaylynne, and Tonja signed up for it. Also, a friend from Salt Lake, Amber signed up. I even saw my sister-in-law Kim weigh in. Good luck to all of you!!

Well, now is the time to step up on my diet. No more junk food. I also need to get more vegetables and fruit in my diet. I am already doing some kind of exercise 6 days a week. I just need to work on my endurance.
