Update on my graceful fall

Well, I am a bit stiff from my fall on the ice but not as much as I thought I would be. I did have a bit of a hard time sitting on those hard metal chairs in church. I've got a big goose egg on the back of my head and a stiff neck.

Online Christmas Shopping

This year I've done a lot of my Christmas shopping online. It's been easier than I thought it would be. It sure beats the crowds in the stores. Most of my shopping is done which is a record for me. I usually shop until the last minute possible. I just need to decide on what to get my dad. He doesn't give hints too freely.

Today it snowed, the weather people said it was going to be a big storm but it barely collected on the ground. I hope that we have a white Christmas this year. There is something about having Christmas with snow.

There was enough snow though for me to make a graceful (very graceful!!) fall while I was out getting the mail. It happened before I could do anything about it. The back of my head and my backside took the brunt of it. I got up quickly hoping that no one saw me but boy am I stiff. I'm going to be feeling it tomorrow.

This Weekend

This weekend, I got to have my niece (Ruth) and nephews (Tobyn and Kordell) come stay with my dad and I. Robert and Natalee ended up going to my Uncle Jims funeral on Whidbey Island in Washington state. They left on Thursday morning after getting the kids off to school. Then they took off. My dad picked up the kids after school on Thursday and brought them to our house. After I got home, we had dinner. We then went back to their house to stay for the night. We figured that with them having school the next day, it would be best. I ended up staying in Tobyns room. I got up and got the kids off to school then went to work. Grandpa went and picked up the kids after school again. They stayed at our house the rest of the time. On Friday, we watched Narnia ( Prince Caspian) on DVD and just took it easy. On Saturday, Grandpa made his world famous pancakes as per the kids request. We also put up our Santa tree, which is a tradition in our family. All of the ornaments are Santas. Throughout the year, we look for unique Santas to put on the tree. We then put up some of our other Santas. After all that, Ruth decided we needed to rake the leaves in our yard which we did but it got too dark and cold to pick up all the leaves. I hope the wind doesn't pick up before I get a chance to bag the leaves. On Sunday, we all went to church. Ruth even came with me to my Primary class to help out. She said she had a good time being with the 5 year olds even though she is 9. About 8, Rob and Natalee got home. I took the kids up to their house in Lehi. I sure enjoyed having the kids around this weekend!! It gets pretty boring at our house with just my dad and I. We should have them over more often. They are my pride and joy. I will have to get pictures of them and post them on here once I figure out how.

Bye for now!!

Time to get with the times

Hi, Several people I know have their own blogs so I decided I'd try it. I'm not really good at technical stuff so I'm going to be learning as I go. I've been thinking about starting one so here it goes.
